Typeface Project

Cool Colors: from Middle name, April.

Monochromatic: from First name, Kitiya.

Freestyle: from Last name, Kitburi.

 We were expected to produce three 8.5x11 typefaces in adobe photoshop. To me, this project was somewhat difficult because I don't like working in typography and I felt that my sketches needed a little work. For my final product, I produced a Monochromatic typeface consisting of my first name, a cool-color typeface with my middle name, and a freestyle typeface consisting of my last name. For my monochromatic, I used the different hues of orange and threw in some brown to try and add contrast. In my cool colored document, I chose my middle name because I associated "April" with Spring, which is usually a cool and calm season. I also chose that particular font because it looked like the letters were blowing in the wind. For my freestyle, I attempted to make a tree out of my last name. I would say that two out three of my projects resemble my sketches accurately; My freestyle project didn't turn out well when i tried to recreate it, so I ended up experimenting and, in the end, created a tree.
