myiPOD

Day 2
Last Day

We were required to create and decorate an Ipod in Adobe Illustrator CS3 in three days. My final product has a few noticeable errors due to time management, but it's basically a light blue Ipod Nano with strips on the back skin, and a staff with quarter and eighth notes. I used lines to create the staff, and shapes to create the outline for the Ipod Nano. A gradient was applied in order to create the three dimensional effect on the ipod. I would say that my sketch mostly depicts my second sketch, because of the general design of the sketch.

Day Two
Sketch
Day One

Day Three
Last Day

For this assignment, we were required to create a room for our lamp from our previous project. The area had to relate to the lamp, and had to be unique. We also had to keep in mind that we needed to add a glow to the surroundings to show that the lamp is on. I used gradients to create the glow from the lamp on the surface of the desk and the wall. I used shapes to create the various furniture, and the bevel & emboss tool to make it three-dimensional. My sketch accurately depicts my first sketch, in terms of design, layout, and general idea.

MyLAMP

Day One
Sketch

Last Day

We were expected to create our own lamp, using the 3D Revolve option in Adobe Illustrator. My final product was a hot dog lamp, because we were supposed to create a unique lamp, and I've never seen a hot dog lamp before. When creating my lamp, I used shapes and lines to create the forms of the hotdog, lamp shade, and stand. When the 3D effect was applied, it automatically added a gradient to create the three-dimensional effect. My sketch accurately depicts my third sketch, based on the general idea of the sketch; the only difference being that I added a "mustard" symbol, and an on/off button.
