Doodle 4 Google

Last Day

For this project we had to create a design for "Doodle 4 Google", with the theme being "If I could travel in time, I would visit..." We were required to finish this in six days, using Adobe Illustrator. My final product is basically a design with a medieval-Europe concept. I demonstrated both the principles and elements of art by using a repetition of lines to create the roof of the cottage. I would say that my final product does accurately depict my sketch because, like in my sketch, I used a knight for my "G", a cottage and scorch mark for my "O"s, a dragon for my "g", a watch tower for my "l" and a wagon for my "e".

In this assignment, we were required to make a self-illustration. The only difference from last year, is that we were required to create ourselves using the things that we enjoy or make us who we are. My final design  consists of a few of my hobbies and interests. My eyebrows consists of "grass" made up of a repetition of green lines. My final design somewhat resembles my sketch because of the fact that I added certain elements in my sketch into my final product, but added additional details not included in the sketch (grass eyebrows, tennis racquets nose, etc.)

Product Sheet

Day Two

Last Day

For this assignment, we were required to create a product sheet for our previous project, "Product Design" in Adobe Illustrator. I added lines to create columns and separate the information. I demonstrated emphasis when I chose to make certain words and phrases boldface.

For this assignment, we were required to design and create our own product in Adobe Illustrator. I chose to create a "hands-free" vacuum that is controlled by an app on your smart phone. My final product is a vacuum with three different angles and an adapter and wireless charger for the vacuum. I used shapes to form the overall vacuum, and gradients to add a three-dimensional effect. My final product does accurately depict my sketch because the components of the vacuum in my sketch are very similar to my vacuum in Illustrator.
