Banner I designed for the Christine M. Sykes College & Career Center
To me, this assignment was a little difficult, but only because this was my first time doing a project in over two months. We were required to create a banner for the Christine M. Sykes College and Career Center at Oxon Hill High, using either Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. We had three days to complete this assignment. Unlike most of my peers, I chose to use Adobe illustrator because I felt that it was easier for me. My final product was a light blue banner with a black and gold border. For the gold border, I used a gradient to imitate the color and shine of a gold template. For the background, I used an image of "silhouettes of graduates" and made multiple copies (repetition) and lowered the opacity to about 50%, so that it would not interfere with any other images. I would say that my final project does accurately represent my sketch because I didn't really have any second ideas as to how my banner would look like, so I basically depended on my sketch for the entire project. |
