We were expected to use symbolism and minimalism in order to visually show an emotion or human feeling in Adobe Illustrator. My human feeling was "anticipation." Anticipation can be positive or negative, but it's basically a mixture of being nervous, excited, or even anxious. I chose to create a "runner" at the starting line, because they're practically ready, but they're anxiously waiting for the signal for the race to begin. I tried to show that they were either nervous or anxious by adding drops of sweat, a breath to show that they were exhaling uneasily, and lines to show that their leg is shaking. One example of repetition is when I copied the sweat in order to show that the runner was nervous. I made the runner a heart, in order to emphasize the fact that your heart usually races when you're anticipating something. My final design resembles my second sketch because of the basic idea of the sketch.
